Sarah Lane, Owner and Resident Megalomaniac
sarah india   Sarah is fifth generation St. Helenian, and was given the opportunity to purchase Baksheesh in the summer of 2015 after working there for four years. She renamed the store Rabbit Rabbit, but loved everything else about it too thoroughly to change much more.
Having studied cultural anthropology in college, Sarah most appreciates the fact that fair traders take the traditional arts of various peoples and adapt them to modern design aesthetics, doing all they can to preserve the core of the art. Fair trade celebrates different cultures rather than seeking to change them
Sarah can usually be found with the sari throws, gazing at them longingly. In the time she manages to tear herself away from the beautiful fabric, she is the resident problem solver, stock hunter/gatherer, email answerer, and human Swiss army knife.
